Microsoft probably added it for parents, administrators, etc. to hide the top part of the task manager so their computer users can't go to processes to close anything important that could mess up the computer. If that's not the reason, then I can't think of anything else that would fit. In that case, it's a stupid idea. Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it. Google brought me here!

Hello Anonymous from date 9/23/04: You just have helped a lot of people including myself. I will never figure out how easy could be fix it. Anyway nice work, extrabonus for posting it at 4:00 am. Im sure I have formatted a HD in the past to solve this problem!!
Just for an update it also works (is a problem) in Vista!
Double click in the tab box (does not work anywhere as someone suggested)
