I have ordered a Dell Axim X30 624Mhz. It has yet to arrive. One concept that I just do not understand is how if the Pocket PC is not charged, that you lose all of your data. Is this true if the data is on the San Disk card?
When my camera battery is low, I don't lose my photos. Same with my laptop, if it loses the charge, I don't lose my data. Why is that not true with pocket pc's and palms?
Data on SD cards is safe, as is any info stored in the 30 meg ROM area of memory which Dell calls "Built-in Storage". It's only data stored in main memory (RAM) that will get wiped out if the battery runs out.
