Hi. I am looking for a multimedia pda. I want it to have a very good screen, camera ( minimum 1.3MP ), very good mp3 playback and be able to play movies ( maybe 500k/sec ) good and of course, games. Right now i'm balancing between these 2 clie's. I can't really decide which one to buy. The nz90 has that superb camera but it's kinda bulky. I'm almost willing to give that camera up and get the nx80v - it's sleeker, looks better, has better battery life, etc. The thing i'm concerned about is the speed of the procesors. 200mhz does not seem good enough. Can i play 500K movies on those 2 ? Can i play the latest games or is the speed lacking ? How do these two perform compared to the latest models, like the XDA II ? Maybe there are other pda's or pocket pc's that i should consider.
500 k/bs video is taxing for many PDAs, Palm OS or Pocket PC. Palm OS doesn't require as much horsepower, that's why you see 200Mhz processors on a lot of units which Pocket PC is 300 to even 624MHz these days. If you really want to go that high with the encoding, I'd suggest that you go with the fastest clock speed you can find, and for Pocket PCs, look at the benchmarks for processor and video performance.
The XDA II is a Pocket PC Phone Edition model, so it's not in the same category as the Clies. However, I own one, and it can handle 500 k/bs video being a fast unit with an ATI graphics chip. 700 k/bs gets pretty ugly though.
