I'm sure this is an elementary question, but I'm unsure of how to do it. I'm about to buy the Tungsten E, which runs on the newer version of Palm Desktop. How do I transfer my contact and datebook/calendar/to do data over to the new T/E? Thanks!
There is a section in the user manual covering this. Read it to learn how to transfer the files. If you use the same HotSync ID, make sure you don't restore the old system files to the T|E.
to beam addresses, on m500, go to "adress", make sure you have "all" selected on the top right, tap "address" on the top left, select "beam category", place the TE in front of the m500 and facing it (with the beam receive option turned on of course), and you'll get a message on the TE asking u if u want to accept...choose yes.
calendar events can be beamed, but only one event at a time, not an entire day/week/month.
