I bought a SJ30 about 1.5 years ago. Happy as I was. But since some time ago I have a regular fall out. The display informs me with: "DataMgr.c, Line: 6317 InvalidUniqueID passed". All I can do is a Hard Reset which results in loss of data. At the moment this happens daily. Sony's helpdesk does not really give an answer. Can anybody help?
regards,
Auke

From that error, it sounds like some software installed on the unit might be causing the problem. After you hard reset it, try using a different Hotsync ID and not letting the Palm Desktop software automatically restore your old software onto it. You can still sync your PIM info to the unit if you use a new Hotsync ID, and you can re-install your 3rd party software manually once you've verified the unit is stable.

What application are you using when this happens? Any hacks loaded?
