I am doing research for a friend who works in Environmental Safety. He is needing to find a more efficient way to get reports to his clients while in the field. Could someone let me know if a PDA will assist with the following and if not please make a recomendations.

1. He wants to know if he can have a standard form on file that will be used in the field when doing inspections.

2. He wants to be able to somehow transfer the information and print copies of the report to clients while in the field from the PDA.

3. He wants to be able to manipulate documents if possible.

4. He wants to be able to forward reports via email to clients.

Is any or all of this possible via a PDA or should he try something different?

Yes, all of those things can be done with a PDA. The T5 would probably be a better bet for the power to handle custom forms and connectivity for emailing. Your friend would need to check out the 3rd party form generation apps, so he could create the necessary forms used in his business. Also he'll want to buy a printing app to print those forms.
