I have been looking at possible GPS units (hopefully bluetooth) to go with my new HP IPAQ h6315. However, I'm not clear that these units do all the same things that the portable GPS units do. Turn by turn is nice, but do you know if there are units that:

- provide compass information (elevation, vertical speed, etc.)
- allow you to track waypoints (for geocaching)

Thanks for the help!

The receivers in PDA GPS packages are not as powerful as some of the high-end stand-alone GPS receivers. However you can get altitute reading and driving/walking speed. You can track your routes/trips as well as wayponts.
