Hey Everyone,
I have just order a Dell X50v (which is more expensive in Australia then the US and we don't get the games pack but anyway...)and was thinking about all the software out there. In your minds what is the must have software. I notice in the reviews here that BetaPlayer features a lot for DivX playback. The top software of 2004 from PocketPC Magazine is good but doesn't say what most people really need... So what do people regularly use on their PDAs?

That's a shame you don't get the games pack!
BetaPlayer certainly is great and it not only plays DivX but MPEG1 and ASF/WMV files too (you'll need the free plugin to play ASF/WMV files).
As for the rest- it really depends on what you want to do with the unit. I really depend on eWallet for storing my credit card and password info in an encrypted format. Resco File Explorer is also very handy as a full featured file manager with support for zip files, encryption and registry editing.

Thanks Lisa,
I will check those titles out.
Not getting the games pack is kinda disappointing especially since you specifically say how good it all looks in the review. It must have been a Dell marketing strategy However I didn't buy the PDA to play games on (honest) so no biggy I guess.
Cheers Adrian
