I just placed an order for a Zire 72 I found on Ebay (200 USD and it's still factory sealed and the seller has 99.9% approval and 0 negative feedback with 800+ positive, lol), but I've not found anything saying whether or not the Zire 72 has an IR port on it. I was hoping to sync my old m100 (20 USD at a tag sale with leather case, original box and all contents, lol) to it, but I've long since misplaced the cable for the m100 and the Zire 72 uses a USB hotsync cable so I can't very well use that for my m100. I don't have much stored on it (as it's crapped out on me a few times lately, hence the upgrade, not to mention batteries dying and being unable to find/purchase more AAAs) but it'd still be convenient to not have to reenter my information (mostly due dates for my assignments in college plus a few notes). Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
I've also noticed that unlike the Zire 71 which had a slide-opening camera, the 72 has a fixed one on the back. How durable is the lense and how well protected? I'm rather concerned about how well it will hold up with the lens constantly exposed. I'll probably end up storing it in the leather case I have for my m100, but even then, the unexpected can happen. Thanks again.
Obviously most of the palm handhelds not to say all have IRda Port..so u will be able to beam ur address without a problem..As far as the lens at the back is concerned, do not worry abt it..Most of the hones we get nowadays have exposed lens..but they still work fine... U will enjoy ur Zire 72.
