Converting GPS POI-File from TomTom format to Intellinav-format
      #19710 - 04/12/05 05:45 AM

Hi all,

I recently got a Dell X50 equipped with Bluetooth GPS receiver and an Intellinav(Netropa) GPS-software with Navteq maps of Western Europe.

Everything works fine from the beginning. The receiver is very accurate and the sofware works without a glitch.

I would like however to convert my TomTom POI-files (they have a .ov2 extension and format) to the format of the Intellinav-software (poi.bin file).
Intellinav doesn't supply a utility to add POI's nor a conversion utility.

Can somebody help, please?

Thanks

Thank you.
I already, through another way, got hold of the tools mentionned on this site (POIEdit and OV2Dump). They don't provide a conversion utility to the poi.bin format that Intellinav uses.
However the site also contained some other links. I'm exploring them further. If I come to any sort of solution, I will post it here.
