Using an integrated GPS receiver in a Windows Mobile application.

Hello!

I have question regarding a mobile phone with an integrated GPS receiver - hope this is the correct forum!

Is it possible to develop your own navigation software which communicates with the GPS receiver and then uses the data in the application, or is the GPS receiver usually "locked" for only use with the navigation software shipped with the phone?

If you have an idea or comment - thanks!

You can use any mapping and GPS software you wish, including your own.
