PDA smart device application in ..can we avoid the use of cradle

Hi All,
Presently i m working on a PDA smart device application in using win ce framework on Dell axim ppc,data is synchronyzed by use of active sync,by putting it on cradle the database is on the dektop and also on the PDA ......................... Now is there any possible technology to enhance this to use wirelss lan so that the Database can be maintained centrally and then the PDA sync in wireless mode and the data is taken from the central place ...that is we need not maintain Database in PDA .....overall can we avoid the use of cradle and use WLAN tech to use the present application....... what are the possible ways and step?????? pls do help in this exploration of mine ....... awaiting for the responses....u can mail me on Thanks !!!!! ActiveSync supports syncing over networks, including WiFi networks. Just make sure that option is enabled on the host PC under Connection Settings. One warning, ActiveSync 4.0 will no longer support network syncing *sigh*. Seems they decided it was more secure that way. But the current version, 3.8 does and there's no need to upgrade to 4.0 when it comes out unless you're using a Windows Mobile 5 device (none have been released yet).
