I make a lot of phone calls from my car. My current Motorola cell phone lets me activate voice dialing without taking my eyes off the road by locating by touch and then pressing a button on the outside of the case. Can I do this with the Treo 650?

Hello Statcitizen,
This is Kevin from Palm. From the Launcher screen you can go to Preferences > Buttons and assign the "Press + Hold Side Button" to the voice dialing software. That's what I have Voice Dial set to.

Thanks, Kevin!
I had downloaded the user manual (all 7mb) & searched as many likely words & phrases I could think of; I got nothing.
Also, while the side button is labeled in the phone illustration, there's no further mention of it as there is with other features.

That "Press + Hold Side Button" option will allow you to assign any of the applications on the Treo to that button.

You'll also want to install the trial version of Voice Signal that comes on the Treo 650 CD  .
