Depends what kind of applications you want. Some freeware that I use:
- Timecopy (synchronise time on my Palm with the time of the PC)
- Plucker (read websites and RSS feeds offline; used in combination with the Sunrise desktop application)
- Khroma (alter colour themes on your palm)
- Snapcalc5 (pop-up a calculator within any other application)
- Filez (File manager)
Have a look at www.freewarepalm.com (just have your ad-blocker on).

i can recommend you this Palm OS Freeware site. It has quite better look without the anooyng popups
