Nokia N80 Quick Thoughts
      #21700 - 11/14/05 04:58 AM

Nokia released new Nseries phones a couple of weeks ago (N71, N80 and N92).

If I was to update my phone (6630) the N80 would be a strong candidate.

The Nokia N80 is Nokia?s most advanced all-in-one Nseries device. The N80 (like the N71) has no special focus on gaming, music or photo, like the N90 (photo) or the N91 (music).

The interesting thing is the camera. The N80 camera is 3 megapixel (2048 x 1536 pixel) and it has a 20x digital zoom. This is more than the N71 and N90 that use 2 megapixels (1600 x 1200 pixels). No Carl Zeiss optics though (like the N90).

I guess the quality of the pictures cannot be better than the ones taken with a N90, though the N90 has a 2 megapixel camera. After all the megapixels aren?t everything...

The N90 camera uses glass optics (Tessar lens, 5.5 mm, f/2.9) from the famous Carl Zeiss.

Since you're in Finland, you probably can take advantage of the 2100Mhz UMTS available on the N80. Have fun!
