JAMin vrs M600
      #22540 - 02/03/06 09:34 PM

Hello

What do you think about the new JAMin?.

Is it better than M600?.

How about the 200mhz? Is it dual core? Is it faster or slower?.

Is a review of JAMin?

Regards,

Gabriel Porras

I think no one has the JAMin yet, so its hard to make comparisons. As of now, there are no dual core Handheld CPU until the rumored Lifestyle PC that Microsoft was supposed to come out with.

Thanks Julian!!!.

So, Is The 200mhz too slow?.

I thought the JAMin and K-JAM use dual core.

for instance, the 200mhz OMAP cpu could hardly run skype, whereas the 400mhz works fine. the OMAP 200mhz is supposed to perform more work in a clock cycle thus they're supposed to be on par with the xscale 400mhz, but most people who has the wizard complains of its sluggish performance.

the 200mhz omap devices usually has TWO cpus, that one is supposed to run the multimedia and the other is the cpu. no dual cores yet.

What do you think is a better choice? Buy the JAMin or the ETEN??. How about the support and warranty of both?.

I think its a personal choice. I've found out through my many devices, that each gadget has its pros and cons and you need to educate yourself on what's out there, and what you're looking for. For instance, do you need wifi? Do you need a cell/pda combo? What are you going to use the device for? Does the size matter? Does the style matter? If you can answer these questions, then you're one step closer to your search.

I'm sorry but I do not know their warranty policies. You might want to go to their prospective websites. Look for warranty centers in the United States, what is covered in the warranty, see if you can get an accidental warranty (useful especially when talking about these devices), what are the feedback from others.

Some companies with warranty centers in USA:
- iMate
- QTek

Good luck!

Thanks for your time.

Well, yes. I need a combo. I need Wi-Fi, the size is not a issue. And the style neither. I want something to be conect with the my office and my customers. I need check my emails on road, send and recive files.

That?s why I need WI-FI, bluetooth and combo. My only concern is the 200mhz of the JAMin, if it is not too slow.

The JAMin can work with skype. I have to travel a lot to other counties that?s why I need a unlock phone. And if I can call my office through skype it will be better for my buget.

Which one is better the QTEk or IMATE?, Which one brings a better service and warranty?.

Between JAMin and K-JAM which one is better?.

Regards,

Gabriel Porras

The original Skype couldn't work with 200Mhz. Their later release has different softwares, one for the CPU less than 400, and one with 400 and over.

Qtek has 2 year warranty and iMate has 1.
