I'm overwhelmed by all the info and reviews of smartphones. So hopefully you can help me on my first smartphone purchase. This is for personal use.
Some basic requirements I am looking for:
Must haves: bluetooth 2.0, calendar, support multiple pop accounts, internet data access
Should have: gps / mapping ability, international support
Must NOT have: video, camera
Should not have: music player
I like basically all the improvements of the later models but I cannot have any type of camera or video and those seem to be a part of all the latest technology.
Sounds to me like you'd be the ideal BlackBerry user. Someone that needs the smartphone and capabilities without the extra fuss of cameras and stuff.
I use a BB 8700 series (8703e on Sprint, 87XX on most other carriers) and it's been a blessing in the past few weeks I've had it.
I used to switch phones almost monthly since nothing met my needs (WM5 was too buggy and unreliable, Treos were nice, just too much extra 'crap')
The BB OS is stable, and I've yet to have a lockup or anything requiring resetting, hell, I don't even know how to reset the thing! It holds a charge forever, and it's relaible.
I'd reccomend it to anyone looking for something similar.
