My brains swelling with pda info and I'm tired of looking at plastic handsets!
I'm looking for a pda/smart phone that has a fast browser, the usual push email, and will allow me to use Mac iSync for calendar & address book (4000+ contacts). i don't need to sync with any office server etc...
this is my short list:
nokia e62-browser sounds amazing+great screen real estate but will i miss wifi/3g/expandable memory capabilities?
backperry pearl- device size looks great but is the screen too small?
samsaung blackjack
any thoughts gratefully appreciated!
am cingular network but can change, must be GSM though.

Over 4,000 contacts-- you must be a very popular person
I'm a Mac user as well and have used the Nokia E61 / E62 with a little hacking to get iSync working. And I use the Samsung BlackJack with Missing Sync these days. 3G is a significant feature if you live and work in a 3G coverage area. Emails will download faster and web browsing is significantly faster. That said, the Nokia E62 has the best web browser and it's certainly usable with EDGE. And it's not plastic It does have a miniSD memory expansion slot. If you really want WiFi, there's the E61 which is available from importers at decent prices.
I haven't tested the BlackJack with 4k contacts, but it might slow down a bit with that many . The Pearl's screen doesn't seem too small to me, granted it's not as huge and luscious as the Nokia's though. But the web browser isn't as good as the BlackJack and E62's. And the multimedia experience isn't as strong, if that matters to you.
