Hi All,
Does anyone know (for sure) whether the Verizon/HTC XV6700 can use mini-SD cards with capacities LARGER THAN 2GB? The larger size apparently uses sector addressing (rather than byte addressing?) However, other consumer devices not specifically labelled as SDHC-compatible have been found to actually support the newer SD-2.0 capability. Can SDHC abilities be added to a device thru a firmware update? Or will SDHC require hardware changes?

SDHC uses different hardware, a firmware update won't do the trick. The XV6700 doesn't have HDSC hardware. Sometimes you'll see SD cards greater than 2 gigs (but not greater than 4) that are not HDSC and those are the ones that work on SD 1.0 ans 1.1 devices like PDAs.
