Sprint Now Offers Plans that Extend Night and Weekend Hours
      #26457 - 01/11/07 09:54 AM

Sprint customers will now have the power to easily compare options across wireless carriers with the launch of Sprint Power Pack Individual and Family plans on Jan. 14. The new Sprint Power Pack plans will give customers the power to begin their unlimited night and weekend minutes at 7 p.m. instead of the industry-standard 9 p.m., at no additional charge. These new plans all will feature minute buckets at competitive price points, no roaming charges, and unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling, enabling customers to easily observe Sprint's competitiveness on these basic features, along with the added benefit of unlimited night and weekend minutes starting at 7 p.m.

Sprint Power Pack plans also will give customers the power to select more unlimited calling options with its new "Power Pack Add On" choices. For just $5, Sprint Power Pack subscribers will be able to begin their unlimited night and weekend minutes even earlier, at 6 p.m. This industry-exclusive option will offer the equivalent of 1200 additional minutes of talk time per month for Sprint Power Pack customers. This benefit also will be available on Sprint Power Pack Family Plans $69.99 and up, for only $10 per account. So whether their family account has two lines or as many as five lines, Sprint customers will be able to enjoy unlimited 6 p.m. Night and Weekend calling across all Power Pack Family Plan subscribers.

"No one offers a better wireless value than Sprint with its 7 p.m. Nights & Weekends start time," said Scott Wiener, vice president of marketing for Sprint. "And now customers can get even more unlimited calling for just $5 per month or $10 on family accounts. The value of up to three more hours of unlimited talk time is offered by no other wireless carrier besides Sprint."

Sprint Power Pack plans also give customers the flexibility to choose between unlimited mobile to mobile calling on Sprint phones or unlimited walkie-talkie calling on Nextel phones.

Power Extras
Sprint customers also will continue to have the power to add other wireless services at great values, such as unlimited text messaging for $15 per month, and Sprint PCS Vision(SM) and Sprint Power Vision(SM) packs on select phones, including unlimited Web and data access for $15 per month and up.

More Power Tools
In addition to the new Power Pack plans, Sprint also has recently launched several tools to give customers the power to choose the right wireless plan for them. The Sprint Plan Advisor, launched in December, enables users to select the right plan for them based on criteria such as how often and when they use their wireless phone. The Sprint Power Network Coverage Tool, launched in October, allows customers to view detailed coverage maps which zoom down to street address level and display network signal strength.
