I had this working a couple of years ago. I updated the Windows XP OS on the Compaq Pentablet TC1000 I am using which has a Compactflash slot. I also upgrade the firmware from HP's web site. I purchased a prepaid cell phone from T-Mobile with free t-zone and activeated it. I then transferred the SIM card to the GPRS Compactflash card. When I could not connect to the internet, I uninstalled the software and re-installed it. I got to the dialog screen: Setup has finished installing the GPRS modem on your computer. Please complete the installation now by plugging the device into the CF card slot. The OS will complete the hardware setup. When I insert the GPRS Compactflash card, nothing happens.
I have tried uninstalling both of the PCMCIA Slots in Device manager, and rebooting - ng. Can you help?
