Although the lineup of television shows available from the iTunes Store has been constantly expanding, one of the most popular comedies on TV today has been missing from their selection... until now.
My Name Is Earl, the NBC comedy about a guy who tries to make up for his previous misdeeds thanks to a newfound belief in karma, is now available on iTunes. Season 2 episodes are available for the standard $1.99 each, or you can buy a season pass for $36.99. (And yes, that includes the "Jump For Joy" episode .)
Earl is one of relatively few comedies featured on the iTunes Store that is made by a production company other than one owned by the network it airs on. These shows have traditionally faced more difficulties and "red tape" in being added to the store, although NBC's Scrubs also overcame this hurdle. Since The Office and 30 Rock are also available on iTunes, this also marks the first time that NBC's entire current lineup of Thursday-night comedies is available on iTunes.
