Jabra BT8010 Convertible Bluetooth Stereo Headset to Hit the Verizon Stores on April 6th

Verizon Wireles and Jabra announced the Jabra BT8010 convertible Bluetooth stereo headset with a personalized phonebook and caller ID. The multi-functional Jabra BT8010 will be sold as a standard headset but can be turned into a fully functional Bluetooth stereo headset for listening to music with the addition of a separately purchased stereo earpiece.

The headset features Bluetooth 2.0, the latest in wireless mobile technology, and provides enhanced usability with longer talk time and a clearer signal due to increased bandwidth. The Jabra BT8010 receives and plays Bluetooth stereo music direct from mobile phones or music players that support the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) for advanced stereo and the Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP) for remote control from the headset.

The Jabra BT8010 is simple to operate with features such as auto-pairing for an easy connection to Verizon Wireless phones and a jog wheel for navigation of the headset?s menus. The Jabra BT8010 has a Multipoint connection which allows simultaneous connection to two devices such as a PC and a phone, or music player and phone. The headset also comes with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology that provides ultra-clear audio quality. Key features include:

-High performance mono Bluetooth headset that can be converted into a Bluetooth stereo headset
-Supports Bluetooth 2.0, hands-free profile, Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) and remote control (AVRCP) profile
-Up to 10 hours talk time / up to 6 hours music streaming / up to 300 hours standby time
-Mono unit weighs less than 0.8 ounces, stereo unit weighs less than 0.49 ounces
-DSP (Digital Signal Processing) for background noise / automatic volume control
-Multipoint (2 pairings ? 2 connections) to connect 2 devices at the same time (e.g. music player and mobile phone)
-Phonebook can store up to 30 contacts
-OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) scrollable display and jog wheel for easy operations
-Phone features: Answer / end, reject a call* / call waiting*, last number redial*, voice dialing*, volume control
-Music features: Play/pause/stop, skip track forward, volume control

Retail package includes mono unit, attachable stereo unit, carry pouch for stereo unit, AC charger, USB cable for PC interface and notebook charging

The Jabra BT8010 is available today exclusively online at www.verizonwireless.com for $99.99 and the stereo earpiece is $29.99. Both will be available through Verizon Wireless Communications Stores, including those within Circuit City, on April 6.
