Wireless network connection issues
      #27739 - 06/04/07 09:22 AM

Hi, I'm using a Verizon XV6700 pocket PC and I'm having trouble connecting to my wireless network through my verizon dsl westell router. I have connected many times before to other networks (I connect through the Settings-->Configure Wireless Networks screen) without much trouble and even connected to my own once, but I can't seem to do it again.

At first I thought that the WEP key was not working correctly, but I checked it many times and it matches up with the one on my router. Then I tried disabling all wireless security on my router completely and I still couldn't connect. The network always shows up on the list of available networks, but every time I try to connect no matter what I do it says "Connecting"....then "Available." Again, I can connect to other networks, but for some reason I can't connect to mine. Verizon's tech support was no help in this matter as they say that they don't support the Wi-Fi innards of this model. I am totally stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using MAC filtering? If so, have you set it up to allow the MAC address of the 6700?

No, I am not using MAC filtering, although I tried using that once with my PPC's MAC address and that didn't work either.
