Cingular 8525 and Verizon USB 720 Broadband Access
      #28054 - 07/14/07 11:22 AM

I have an 8525 through Cingular, as well as a USB 720 Broadband device through Verizon. Until Cingular's 3g coverage is in place, the Verizon card is much faster than Cingular's. Does anyone know if it is possible to load VZAccess manager on a Windows mobile 5.0 phone and use the broadband card without having to take a laptop. The 8525 is an awsome phone, almost as good as a small computer when you connect it to a keyboard, but unfortunately Cingular is behind in the upgrade to 3G coverage. I have a mini USB adapter, and was thinking that you should be able to plug the USB 720 directly into the phone like you would a laptop. I know that I will get the question---why don't I switch to Verizon. I like having the ability of a sim card---allows me to switch to a small phone when I am Mtn. biking or skiing, travelling, etc. A as I said before, Cingular is way behind in speed for their broadband cards, I was able to get out of a contract with their Sierra Wireless card due to the speed issue in my area. We showed them in the store the diffenence between Verizon and theirs.

Thanks, Richard

Sorry to say it's not possible on both the hardware and software fronts.

Thanks, it was a great thought for the moment. I'll just continue to have my 10" Fujitsu handy when I travel.
This is a really great site for Tech Review. I just discovered it.
