Hi, I'm looking for a non-phone PDA that I can sync with my Outlook calendar and contacts list at work and hopefully at home; that I can use Windows programs with such as Word and Excel; that can get internet access (I have a Verizon bluetooth cell phone) and hopefully access email too. I had been looking at the Dell X51v but heard some conflicting reports about it. Can you guys recommend something that would be good? Price hopefully around $500 or less. Thanks!

Overall, the Axim X51v is a good device with lots of power. You could also consider the HP iPAQ hx2490 reviewed here and the Palm Tungsten E2 reviewed here (the E2 is significantly less expensive).

Also keep in mind that Verizon wants you to buy the more expensive data plan if you use your phone as a modem over EVDO.
