Sorry guys...but I had to re-post the same thread. Do know exactly which fourm to post it.
This is my first post on this forum. I have just purchased the Verizon XV6700 PDA about a week ago. The PDA is awesome little gadget that I can see myself addicted to. Before I purchased the PDA, I have read some bad reviews here and there regarding issues with some of the feathers. However I have also heard for every defect there are fixes too (well at least for most of them). The fact that the device is Wi-Fi capable outweighed anything bad about the PDA for me. So I ended up getting it anyway.
First and for most, I have a major problem with the volume on the device. Volume on call really sucks, feels like you are talking inside a tunnel. The ring tone is not that much audible even with the volume set max. Speaker phone is not that far from the others too, very low volume, makes it look like you are yelling to the person on the other end.
From the looks of it, these things can be fixed by tweaking the registry files inside the PDA. Can you guys walk me through the processes if there is a fix for this? And one last thing what are the major tweaks I need to do in order to run this device smoothly
