Samsung Shows Off New MP3 Players at IFA 2007

Samsung today announced three new MP3 players at the IFA show. Here is more info from the announcement:

"Samsung today announces at IFA 2007 that it continues to develop market-leading technology, with the releases of a new generation of music players, the YP-P2, YP-S5 and YP-T10.

Samsung's new lineup of mp3 players combines awesome design, incredible sound and convenient connectivity options. Millimeters have been shaved off to create players that fit comfortably in one?s hand, while slipping easily into pockets and purses.

Samsun's proprietary sound technology, Digital Natural Sound engine (DNSe.) provides high quality acoustics aiming to facilitate the best sonic experience to the end user. Better still, the new range enables boasts Bluetooth-enabled wireless stereo providing the ultimate ?easy listening? experience!

The YP-P2, YP-S5 and YP-T10 MP3 players will be available in the third quarter of 2007.

YP-P2; Palm Theater



The multi-talented YP-P2 boasts an array of functions including music, video, FM radio and voice recording, not to mention portable file storage. Only 9.9 mm thick, the YP-P2 showcases an expansive 3" widescreen for enhanced viewing pleasure. The high-resolution screen displays 30 frames per second in DVD movie format and 16:9 screen ratio for seamless and steady video playback. Samsung?s Bluetooth speaker YA-BS300 turns the P2 into a ?palm theater.? The YP-P2 boasts a touch screen GUI, allowing ultimate control with the touch of a finger. The touch screen also reacts to consumer?s gestures using EmoTure, an input system that goes beyond just merely tapping selections. DNSe 2.0 provides users a listening experience parallel to a concert hall or theater. With Bluetooth 2.0, the YP-P2 and Samsung Bluetooth Headset YA-BH270 enable three people to share music (including wire ear-set). The YP-P2 features up to 35 hours of music playback, 5 hours of movie playback and is available with 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB NAND flash memory. The P2 is available in black, white and purple colors.


YP-S5; Share a Soundtrack



Samsung?s new YP-S5, the follow-up to last year?s groundbreaking YP-K5, offers musical freedom in an even slimmer, sleeker and more compact form. The portable 14.95 mm player has integrated 1.5 W stereo speakers, so everyone can listen together and share the music without an added speaker device. When Samsung EP-150 earphones are used, the bass sound quality is enhanced.

Samsung?s new MP3 player features MPEG4 video playback, text viewer, photo viewer, flash games, FM radio and alarm clock with 24 hours of playtime using earphones, and 5.5 hours with its slide-and-tilt speaker. The YP-S5 can transform into a speaker phone when used together with a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. It is available in black or white with 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB memory.


YP-T10; Stylish Multimedia Device



The YP-T10 features full functionality in a super slim, super sexy and feather-weight player. A slice of music entertainment at only 7.9 mm thick and 43 grams, the YP-T10 combines a music player, FM radio, photo album, video player, voice recorder, text reader and game player all in one. Store all files directly onto YP-T10, with 2 GB, 4 GB and 8 GB memory versions offered in five bold colors. The superior quality 2" screen, delivers crystal clear QVGA resolution while DNSe 2.0 pumps out powerful sound enabling the entertainment experience to be shared or enjoyed in private. For viewing with a friend, Bluetooth 1.2 support enables users to connect two wireless stereo headsets for double the pleasure. Ensuring the YP-T10 is even easier to use, a fun character has been created to guide users through the menu. Samsung?s GUI enables users to customize the multimedia player. Whether navigating from menu to menu or listening to tunes, SAM the animated puppy will be there to help."
