Motorola Introduces 7 New W Series Entry-Level Phones
      #28712 - 10/12/07 09:51 AM

Motorola today expanded its offering of devices for "everyday communication" with the introduction of seven new W Series handsets. Here is more info:

"The new devices - W156, W160, W175, W180, W206, W213, and W377 - are inspired by the vision of delivering Motorola's high-tier style and innovation at an affordable price point. Each device features tools users need to stay connected, like FM radio which is featured on the W160, W180, W213 and W377, (optional headphones are required to listen to the radio). Motorola?s proprietary CrystalTalk Technology, which automatically adjusts audio to ensure clear calls even in noisy environments, is featured on the W156, W160, W175, W180, W206, and W213, and was previously found only on Motorola?s premier handsets.

?The everyday communications segment represents dynamic growth and is a key area of focus for Motorola,? said Stu Reed, President, Motorola Mobile Devices. ?These devices are designed for consumers who are purchasing their first mobile phone, for those who simply want to talk and message on an easy-to-use phone, or for those who are looking to upgrade a basic phone. These seven new additions to our W series exemplify Motorola?s commitment to providing innovative and exciting products to meet ? and exceed ? the demands of this diverse global audience.?

Motorola W377: Mobile Entertainment Essentials

The W377 delivers excellent sound with an integrated FM radio and MP3 ringtones so users can personalize their mobile music experience. This handset also features an integrated VGA camera, Bluetooth wireless technology and popular preloaded games.

More than just an entertainment hub, the stylish W377 packs organization tools, such as one-touch SMS, speakerphone, mobile calendar and an alarm clock, into its sleek and colorful flip-phone casing. Packed with 10MB of user memory, the W377 ensures users can always save what is most important to them.

Motorola W206 and Motorola W213: The Life of the Party

Stylish and affordable, the Motorola W206 and W213 keep you connected while standing out in a crowd. All the features necessary to stay connected ? CrystalTalk Technology, excellent battery life, large phonebook for up to 500 entries, and SMS storage for up to 500 messages ? are packed into an ultra-thin candybar design.

A large color display, MP3 ringtones, pre-loaded games and WAP/GPRS keep consumers entertained on the go. Consumers can customize the W206 and W213 by downloading up to 1MB of wallpaper, screensavers and ringtones, with GPRS connectivity. The W213?s FM radio rounds out the entertainment experience.

Motorola W175 and Motorola W180: Enhanced Experiences

Enjoy an enhanced viewing experience on the W175 and W180. With FM radio featured on the W180, and CrystalTalk Technology featured on both, the W175 and W180 are a step above what is expected on a phone for everyday communication.

Both candybar style handsets are optimized for business with a battery time that supports long calls and one-key access to text messaging. Type out texts quickly and accurately via SMS and iTAP predictive text entry and save the most important texts, up to 750 of them. The internal phonebook can hold up to 500 phone numbers so important contacts are never out of reach.
