Although the iPhone 1.1.2 update has been rumored for several days now, the update is still not visible in iTunes. However, several users have discovered that the update is now available for download directly from Apple at this link (160 MB). To install the update, download the file, and then OPTION-click "Check for Update" in iTunes and select the downloaded file.
After more than twelve hours, Apple has still neither pulled the file nor added it to iTunes' standard update mechanism, so Apple's intentions remain unclear at this point.
