It's rare that we get the latest Japanese coolness in the US. The Fujitsu U810 is the US version of the import U1010. Fujitsu calls it a mini-notebook, and that it is. Weighing 1.56 lbs. and measuring the same as a trade paperback, this Windows Vista machine is a convertible tablet on a Lilliputian scale that manages to maintain decent usability thanks to its notebook style keyboard, 1024 x 600 widescreen touch display and decent performance. It runs on the Intel A110 processor with a gig of RAM and a 40 gig hard drive. Extra goodies include WiFi, Bluetooth and a webcam. All for around a grand.
