Currently use a VX6700, I am elegible for a credit towards something new and I can't decide if their is anything else out their that is better.
1. Verizon is a must, other coverage is bad in my area
2. Prefer a QWERTY keyboard, but would consider going without
3. Love the touchscreen
4. Need the ability to wireless sync for email etc
5. Like to tinkker/hack my device
Anybody know anything Verizon offers that would be better then the VX6700?

There is the replacement for the XV6700, the XV6800 which runs WinMo 6. It's got a similar form factor as the 6700 but adds more memory, a better camera and a high capacity friendly microSD card slot. I'd say it beats the Samsung i760 also offered by Verizon in their Pocket PC phone lineup in terms of look and feel, though some folks like the Samsung's front facing number pad.

I was aware of it but haven't actually looked at one, does anyone know if it's as hackable as the 6700?

Like most all HTC PPC phones, I'd say it's quite hackable. What did you want to do to it?
