I am looking for extreme reception in a phone for my 7 year old son. We live in the country in Kansas. We travel all over the country all summer for fun. Our carrier is AT&T. For safety, we need a phone with the best of the best reception for him. He had a Firefly, which was great! I could get ahold of him all over. But, he lost it and it is time for an upgrade anyway. His requests are it be red, and have a camera. He would like a touchscreen. Price is not an issue, Reception is number 1. Mobiletech seems to be the only place that actually tests reception. THANK YOU!!!! Any suggestions for a worried Mom?

In general, Motorola and Nokia phones have the best reception on AT&T. Touch screen phones, other than the iPhone, are generally larger, heavier and more complex devices aimed at business people, and I'm not sure that's a good fit for a 7 year old.
