Hello:
I've got an HTC Advantage X7501 running WinMO 6. The built-in e-mail program seems very slow retrieving messages from Comcast, on the order of a minute to see the connection, log-on, etc. The connection is over WiFi both at home and work.
As a comparison, a trial version of Pocket On Schedule does this in a manner of seconds. A trial of Flexmail is as slow as the onboard program.
Any ideas?

I'm not a Comcast customer, so no first hand experience here. Would I be correct in guessing that your other email accounts don't have this problem?

OK, I setup the Gmail account on the Advantage. It took a mere 10 seconds to connect, check messages and disconnect. I hadn't tried this earlier because Gmail is forwarded to a Comcast account.
But can we really point the finger at Comcast because Pocket On Schedule is as fast as the above when getting messages from Comcast vs. the built-in e-mail client?

I have a feeling it's something about the way Comcast is doing their mail protocols that slows down WinMo (maybe there are a few ack commands Pocket Outlook isn't expecting or some such thing).
