ASUS has provided us with the specs for the new Intel Atom processor version of the 8.9" Eee PC 901 and the 10" Eee PC 1000. All models feature 802.11n, a web cam, and max out at 2 gigs of RAM. And all are available in the following colors: Sakura, Sweet Pea, Urban Metropolis, White Peony, Pearl White and Fine Ebony (don't ask us what color Sakura or Urban Metropolis are!).
It's interesting to see the widening field of Eee PC-like devices at Computex and ASUS' own new additions. The trend already seems to be moving to larger, heavier and more expensive models. But the original Eee PC became so popular, selling 1 million units in 6 months, because it was very small (but still usable), extremely light and very inexpensive. Is bigger, heavier and pricing that approaches a budget full-sized notebook really the way to go? What do you think?
