Samsung today announced a new touchscreen phone, the Samsung Omnia, with haptic support and running Windows Mobile 6.1. The phone has an integrated 5 megapixel camera, GPS, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi. For storing music, the Samsung Omnia comes with 8 gig or 16 gigs internal memroy. With Windows Mobile 6.1 support, the Samsung Omnia i900 comes with mobile Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It also has push email support, Opera 9.5 and sync to PC.
As far as we know, the Samsung Omnia is a quad band GSM phone with Euro-only 3G. The Samsung Omnia is scheduled to release to the global market starting with Southeast Asia in the second half of 2008. To read more about the announcement (in Korean) here.
