Hi
I read on many occasions that the Nokia 7610 does support the Bluetooth SPP but the this is not listed when another device scans its services. Does anybody here know how to enable it?
Regards

There's no way to enable or disable Bluetooth profiles. When Bluetooth is turned on, all supported profiles are enabled. It's been a long while since I had the Nokia 7610, but I remember there were issues with serial port profile on that phone .

I think that the SPP is there on the Nokia 7610 because the phone can talk to GPS receivers that use the SPP. The problem is that it is not available as a service for other devices to use when connecting to the phone.

Yes, like PC Suite for Windows that came with the Nokia 7610 required SPP for syncing via Bluetooth but it doesn't see that on the Nokia so it fails.

If it is there then there must be a software way to expose it. Are there any programming geniusses out there who have managed to do it?
Another thing on the Bluetooth subject. Although my Nokia 7610 claims to have the DNP when I explore its services, it refuses to dial numbers altogether. The only Bluetooth operation I can do is transfer files to and from my PDA.
