Video review of the E-TEN Glofiish M810 Windows Mobile Pro phone
      #30919 - 07/24/08 06:02 PM

While we finish our full written review, here's our video review to whet your appetite. The new Glofiish M810 is an HTC Tilt-style device in terms of form and function. It's a hunky device with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, QVGA touch screen display and pretty much every feature you can cram into Windows Mobile: SiRF III GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, an FM radio and US 3G. This is GSM unlocked Windows Mobile 6 Professional phone with quad band GSM and triband 3G HSDPA (850/1900/2100MHz).

It bests the HTC Tilt with it's full SiRF GPS chipset and FM radio but loses in the memory department. The M810, like most recent Glofiish models, has 64 megs of RAM rather than 128. E-TEN has managed to reduce memory consumption and there are approx. 29 megs of free RAM at boot-- sufficient for average users or power users who make use of E-TEN's RAM/ask management application on-board. The M810 gets laggy at times, and it's interesting that the MWg Zinc II which looks to be the exact same hardware but with different software customizations flies in comparison. (We'll be reviewing the Zinc II soon as well).

Here's our 7 minute video review:

Windows Mobile 6 Professional
500 MHz Samsung processor
64 megs RAM, 256 megs flash ROM
SiRF III GPS (no navigation software included)
WiFi 802.11b/g
Bluetooth 2.0
FM radio, streaming media player
1530 mAh Lithium Ion battery
QVGA display
QWERTY slide-out membrane keyboard with backlight

Feel free to post questions. Our full review will follow next week.
