blackberry 8320 trackball stuck?

on my blackberry 8320 the track ball doesnt work at times, can go left to right and up but can,t roll trackball down,any way to resolve or ideas,or any other way to get to other icons???????james

That's not an uncommon problem. Try cleaning the trackball with rubbing alcohol. That often does the trick.
