Notebook News: Fujitsu Introduces Limitied-Edition LifeBook U820 and P8020 with WiMAX

Fujitsu Computer today shows off a limited edition, 1.32-pound tokidoki-branded LifeBook U820 convertible mini notebook with integrated Garmin Mobile GPS navigation combines computing power with a fun fashion statement. Also introduce was the ultra-portable LifeBook P8020 notebook is WiMAX-enabled for consumers and mobile professionals on the move. Here is more info on these new Fujitsu ultralight notebooks:


Limited-edition tokidoki-branded LifeBook U820 convertible mini notebook




New:

* Delivering touch screen capability, long battery life, and Microsoft Windows computing power, the limited-edition LifeBook U820 convertible mini notebook features a Japanese-inspired tokidoki design created by Italian artist Simone Legno.
* Built-in GPS receiver and integrated Garmin Mobile PC software -- preloaded with maps of the U.S. and Canada, millions of destinations and points of interest, turn-by-turn directions, and route planning.
* Light weight, starting at 1.32 pounds with a 5.6-inch WXGA touch screen display.
* The limited-edition LifeBook U820 tokidoki-branded mini notebook, priced starting at $ $1,124(1) for a base configuration, is available immediately while supplies last through the Fujitsu website. The LifeBook U820 convertible mini notebook with a standard cover is priced starting at $1,049 for a base configuration. Users can choose from a recommended configuration, or they can customize their LifeBook U820 mini notebook using the Fujitsu Configure To Order (CTO) program. The LifeBook U820 mini notebook with a standard cover is available immediately through the Fujitsu direct sales force, website and channel partners and select retailers/e-tailers.
* Pre-installed with Windows Vista(R) Business or Home Premium, offering plenty of power to work, access an office network, check email, conduct video conferences, watch downloaded movies, listen to MP3 files, play games, browse the Internet, take pictures or stay connected with family and friends.
