Syncing Storm to Mac without Issue?
      #32514 - 01/30/09 10:13 PM

I'm picking up my Storm tomorrow... so a question in advance; what's the best app for syncing EVERYTHING mac without issue? iCal, Mail, ToDo's, Notes... the works! Verizon tells me Pocket Mac, but I've read through tons of issues.

Furthermore... I'm coming from an XV6600 where all the above is synced to Outlook on an old, crummy PC. What's the best way to transfer my life to the Mac apps?

I use a Mac and for the review I did try syncing to the Mac (iCal, address book, Stickies for notes) using PocketMac. PocketMac has a driver update that you have to download for the Storm, even if you download the latest version of PocketMac itself.

In general, PocketMac for BlackBerry has always worked very well for me, including with other recent models like the Bold. The Storm was temperamental (Mac wouldn't even see it), but I did finally get it up and running. I didn't try the advanced features such as syncing to iTunes playlists, but the PIM stuff did work.

Forgot to add that if you do have lots of trouble with PocketMac, MarkSpace makes an application called MissingSync for BlackBerry that works like a charm for me. The drawback is that it costs $40.
