Wii question

I was hoping someone could answer a couple of questions about the Wii console...

I know you need an internet connection to utilise all functions. But, can you play games like Wii Sports without internet connection?

Do you need an LCD tv, or will it work while connected to a standard tv?

You don't need an Internet connection to play Wii Sports or any other game unless you want to use the multiplayer over the Net feature that some games offer.

You can use a regular TV, it doesn't have to be LCD.
