According to an article in the New York Times, Amazon will announce a big screen Kindle this Weds. at a press event. The rumored big screen Kindle is expected to be the perfect venue for newspapers and magazines, whose presentation, unlike books, has been a little lacking on the smaller-screened Kindle and Kindle 2.
According to Amazon, the New York Times itself will be involved in the Amazon presentation this week. Amazon currently offers 58 newspaper and magazine subscriptions for the Kindle platform. The Times article is an interesting read as it postulates that this technological leap could reinvigorate the ailing print industry.
