Solitaire card games are very popular and Card Drop adds an action touch to the genre delivered in a well balanced package.
Loading time is short and there is only one game mode. In resume, another good Pick up and Play game.
The initial screen is organized and gives you access to the online scores, your achievements, a mute button and, of course, a Play shortcut.
The online score board is a good addition that increases the replay value. However, you can not scroll the list so you can not see e.g. who is the first if you are the 9th. To access the entire list you have to visit the developer?s web site.
Gameplay
The goal is very simple: stack cards in ascending and/or descending order by drawn one of the four bottom cards over one of the falling cards.
The left yellow bar fills if you stack some cards but empties if you didn?t make one. Once the bar is completely empty the game is over.
To make things harder the dropping speed increases and gets frantic in a good way.
In order to keep you interested in the game you can reach 9 achievements and try the best online score.
Controls are very responsive so you can enjoy the frantic time as much as your fingers allow.
Graphics
The graphics are good and the solitaire theme is there. Green background and easy to read cards.
The animation is smooth and it offers a visual feedback of your stack scores.
Sound
The game provides an OK background music (a bit repetitive) and subtle sounds.
In addition, Card Drop allows iPOD music but you have to mute the game. It would be better to support iPOD music along with sound effects.
Pros
Good pick up and play game Good graphics Subtle sounds Online scores and achievements It can properly resume
Cons
It partially supports iPOD music Repetitive background music You can?t scroll online scores Only one game mode
Conclusion
Card Drop is an interesting and well designed solitaire card game with an action touch. Its simple rules and resume feature makes it a perfect pick up and play game.

The developer mentioned "we'll be releasing the 1.1.0 update soon which will include tons of new features and your reviewer's suggestion about full iPod music playback support. We knew that people would want to play their own music but we didn't know that players still want sound effects while their own music is playing--great suggestion btw! "
