The Motorola Droid for Verizon is here in our office and we're basking in that Android 2.0 OS glory. Though it's not making me look sadly at my 1.6 OS T-Mobile MyTouch 3G smartphone, there are some new perks here including the new version of Google Maps.
The Droid will be available on Verizon on Nov. 6th for $199 after rebates with a 2 year contract. It's stuffed with features including a low travel QWERTY hardware keyboard, 3.7" capacitive display with haptic feedback, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera, EVO-DO Rev. A, support for Visual Voicemail, WiFi and a GPS.
We'll be rushing to test this baby and give you our opinion and a video review too. In the meantime, hope you enjoy the photos and feel free to post questions.
