Video review: Droid Eris by HTC on Verizon
      #35074 - 11/07/09 04:31 AM

The HTC Eris, part of Verizon's new line of Android smartphones, is a slim and pocketable smartphone that features HTC's excellent Sense UI on top of Android 1.5 (Cupcake). It joins the uber-smartphone Droid by Motorola as a keyboard-less touch screen phone that costs $99 vs. the Moto Droid's $199 with contract. That doesn't mean it looks or feels cheap because it doesn't: it's attractive and is well made.

The Eris features a 3.2" capacitive touch screen running at standard Android 320 x 480 resolution, EV-DO Rev. A, WiFi, a GPS and a 5 megapixel camera. It's available now, exclusively on Verizon.

Here's our 8.5 minute video review of the HTC Droid Eris that covers the overall design, web browser, HTC Sense, GPS with Google Maps, YouTube and more. Stay tuned for our full written review in a day or two. Please feel free to post questions .
