Nexus One firmware update brings multi-touch heaven, 3G fix
      #35885 - 02/03/10 04:11 PM

When Google announced the Nexus One Android superphone at the beginning of January, they apparently were being coy when they said they'd think about adding multi-touch at some point. Like gee, that was probably the most requested feature after the Nexus One's announcement and they made it sound like we'd start sending men and women to the moon again before we saw multi-touch.

Sneaky Google let loose with a 16 meg over-the-air upgrade for the Nexus One that's just started and will roll through the end of the week before it hits everyone. If you're impatient, Android Central can walk you through manually downloading the update to your computer, then installing it on the Nexus One using a microSD card. It's not hard at all and I did it last night with no problems.

The update also brings a new version of Google Maps with synced starred favorite places and other goodies. And it claims to fix the 3G flakiness that some T-Mobile users have suffered.
