Windows Mobile 7 info leaked ahead of MWC trade show
      #35912 - 02/06/10 03:54 PM

Rumors about Microsoft's next generation smartphone have been circulating but these rumors haven't included a lot of juicy details. The folks at PPC Geeks claim to have the skinny on the new OS that's supposed to be at least partially unveiled at Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona in less than 2 weeks. Put this in the rumor bin since absolutely none of the info has been confirmed, no matter how enticing it is.

They make a lot of claims, and these include a new Zune-like UI, syncing to Zune services, no multi-tasking and Xbox integration. They also say:

"-The User Interface is based upon codename ?METRO?. It will be very similar to the Zune HD User Interface with a complete revamp of the ?Start? screen. The UI is ?Very Clean?, ?Soulful? and ?Alive?

-Unfortunately there will be no Flash support at the get go as there was not enough time to implement these features.

-Windows Phone 7 will only support application installation through service based delivery. (i.e Marketplace). Application installation via storage card will not be possible."

Visit PPC Geeks here for all the details of this supposed leak.

MobileTechWorld said they also received the same email and have posted pretty much the same info too.

Apparently the folks passing this info around are casting it far and wide.
