The Motorola Cliq XT is T-Mobile's latest Android smartphone. Like the Cliq it runs Android 1.5 with MOTOBLUR social networking software and it has a 3.1" HVGA 320 x 480 pixel capacitive touch screen. But the XT lacks a hardware keyboard so you'll enter text using the smallish on-screen QWERTY keyboard.
It's a surprisingly large phone given the 3.1" display, and it's almost as big as the Nexus One. The phone comes with 2 backs: one textured black and the other smooth purple.
Above: the iPhone 3GS, Nexus One and Motorola Cliq XT. Below: the two included backs.
Other features include a GPS that works with Google Maps and Telenav, WiFi, 3G HSDPA, Bluetooth and a decent 5 megapixel autofocus camera. The phone has some nice software including pinch zooming in the web browser and a very cool music and multimedia player that we cover in the video.
Here's our video review, and the full written review will follow this week.
