The folks at Motorola let us know that the official upgrade to Android OS 2.1 for the Motorola Droid on Verizon began last Friday and will continue to be delivered over the course of the next few weeks in phases. If you have a Droid, Moto tells us you'll receive a notification on your beloved smartphone to upgrade to the new OS when it's your turn.
Improvements include: live wallpapers pinch zooming speech to text new photo gallery new weather and news widgets Google Maps update improved music app Google Googles app
